Chicago’s Bit Riot Records has hooked up with the creators of indie Horror film, Afterparty Massacre and added 5 Electro/Coldwave/Noise/Metal artists from their roster to the film’s already intense soundtrack.

Giving a new twist to horror, the Afterparty Massacre, brings metal, blood and gore back to the screen with Cyanotic, Defcon, Everything Goes Cold, Left Spine Down and Torrent Vaccine helping to complete the soundscape for scenes throughout this blood soaked motion picture.

Written by Kristoff Bates (Horrormerch.com/Spookygirls.com) and Kyle Severn (Incantation/Acheron), Afterparty Massacre is one killer party with mind-blowing amounts of music, blood and flesh!

If you haven’t heard of Afterparty Massacre, here is a quick note to sum up some of the chaos that has taken place while filming from co-director Kristoff Bates.

“We had a party – cut off arms with a power saw, slit some throats, bashed a girls head in with a double ended dildo, cut off a leg, sledge hammered a vibrator through a girls head as her head then vibrated on the floor. Then we had another party – killed a stripper, cut off a leg, bashed someones head in with a hammer and drove around a bunch trying to get all of this together… it’s definitely been a long 4 months, even for independent movie shooting… and we still have more to go!”

Kristoff continues with details about the actual release date, “Summer 2010 was a bit too close for us to film, edit and press this movie. But we are currently working on a full spring 2011 tour with Incantation and we still have our distribution into Best Buy. So we are definitely going to take our time to make a movie and packaging that you will be able to pick up come spring! So keep on the look out for tour and release date info!“

Look for the Afterparty Massacre movie in Spring 2011!

Chicago’s genre-fusing techno-metalists CYANOTIC have officially announced dates for their upcoming “2010 Detox Tour” with dark electro project UNTER NULL.

The North American dates will feature CYANOTIC (with members of RABBIT JUNK), UNTER NULL and special guests to be announced in markets across Northern America with aggressive scheduling in both Canadian and US territories. In addition, there are planned promotional efforts such as scheduled in-store appearances, DJ spots, and festival performances promoting the tour as a whole.

CYANOTIC and UNTER NULL seem to share a similar direction and fan base, but are just different enough to pull in audiences and fans of industrial, rock, and EBM. The live shows will be a frenetic assault of audio and video, with full live backing bands playing against an onslaught of violent imagery to compliment the equally intense performances.

Both bands are touring in support of their latest 2010 releases.

“Cyanotic’s music struck a nerve in the industrial community, incorporating elements of drum & bass, metal and even hip-hop to create a sound that is as familiar as it is unique.” – Ilker Yücel, editor Re:Gen Magazine.

Sean Payne talks about the conceptual development of their upcoming sophomore release, The Medication Generation and even offers some insight into the band’s philosophy on industrial music and life in general. You will also get a sneak peak at what Cyanotic has in store after the new album release, Payne’s thoughts on the current state of the industrial scene, and even an honest assessment on the nature of pessimism in the world, all elements that are thrown into the mass of overstimulation that drives Cyanotic’s will to create.

First, let me just say it was AWESOME to finally get the chance to meet up with Joseph Graham of the Razor Blade Dance Floor Podcast. I would recommend if you ever get the chance to meet him, you DO IT! You will definitely be glad you did.

I also recommend if you haven’t had the chance to listen to his podcast you start NOW.

This episode is his attempt to compress the insanity of 10 days spent on The Midi Ghetto Tour with 16volt, Chemlab and Left Spine Down, (hitting shows in St. Louis, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa, London, Montreal, Providence, New York City and Cleveland) into the tight confines of a 2 hour show.

Joseph tells a less than detailed (but very enjoyable) story about hanging with fans, members of bands (Defcon, Everything Goes Cold, Android Lust, Christ Analogue, Caustic, Unter Null, I, Parasite and Bile, amongst others), and schmoozing with the labels he has supported on his show, such as Primordial Music, Bit Riot Records, Metropolis Records and WTII Records. Not to mention, he plays some pretty incredible tracks from the artists that made this tour so memorable, including Cyanotic’s dance floor ready anti-scene anthem “f@5h10n v1k+um5″ from their upcoming The Medication Generation album.

Mark your calendars and set your electronic alerts to stun because on July 6th, 2010 Bit Riot Records will unleash the best electronic metal album of the last ten years, The Medication Generation, from Chicago’s genre-fusing techno-metalists Cyanotic.

A conceptual effort, The Medication Generation is based on the making of the album itself, exploring the lives of Cyanotic and those around them, as seen through the eyes of frontman Sean Payne over the past three years. Twisting between cycles of self-destruction, over-stimulation and moments of clarity polluted by mass media and present day society The Medication Generation seems to have zero boundaries.

“Watching Sean craft this album over the last three years has been an amazing process,” shared Bit Riot label owner, Eric Dusik. “Every song has been meticulously crafted, revised and then molded into the coolest sample-laden, glitched-out industrial metal I have ever heard. Sean has poured himself into this album like never before and once Jamie came on board everything just came together. I am comfortable in saying that this is one of, if not the best, electronic rock/metal records in the last ten years.”

Cyanotic frontman Sean Payne along with producer and close friend Jamie Duffy (of Acumen Nation / DJ? Acucrack) challenge audio limitations — implementing elements of grindcore, electronica, metal, drum & bass and ambient industrial with vocals ranging from a fierce growl to a hushed whisper. The heavy, syncopated riffs of “Sentient” and “Dose Responsive”, the dancefloor-ready beats of the anti-scene anthem “f@5h10n v1k+um5” and the pervasive audio samples that create Cyanotic’s sonic ADD make The Medication Generation a defining record for heavy electronic music.

Fans can get a taste of The Medication Generation by visiting http://www.bitriotmerch.com.

The full track listing for The Medication Generation is as follows:

 1. med:gen
