While Deconbrio continues to work on their upcoming album Voyeur, here are a couple of updates to keep you somewhat satiated.

On August 16th, Deconbrio posted on Twitter and Facebook for everyone who has Obsessions of a False Idol to “get ready to delete it from your hard drive/mp3 player”. Shortly after, a remastered release of Obsessions of a False Idol appeared on BandCamp ( http://deconbrio.bandcamp.com/album/obsessions-of-a-false-idol ) in multiple high resolution formats, including 320kbps MP3 and FLAC format. The album is still free, so be sure to download the re-masted Obsessions of a False Idol.

Also, the FiXT Remix vs Deconbrio compilation ( http://www.fixtstore.com/product/14925/Deconbrio—Deconbrio-VS-FiXT-Remix-(MP3-Album) ) has made an appearance in the FiXT store. Back in June, the FiXT Remix community was asked to give the Deconbrio track “The Feeling Remains” a face-lift. The winners were handpicked by both Danny Rendo and members of the FiXT staff for their creativity and originality. A wide spectrum of genres, from “morose ballads to gritty Drum & Bass/rock”, grace this remix compilation. Head over to the FiXT Store and download this 17 track (yes, SEVENTEEN!) compilation, which includes ten remixes from Adam Zwakk, Dreamy Banshee, KBV and Deconbrio, 7 instrumental versions, a PDF booklet and a PDF poster.

There you have it. More Deconbrio music to keep you pleasantly occupied while you patiently wait for the release of Voyeur. Be sure to swing by the recently revamped Deconbrio.Dot.Com (http://www.deconbrio.com ) for all your Deconbrio updates.

Chicago’s Bit Riot Records has hooked up with the creators of indie Horror film, Afterparty Massacre and added 5 Electro/Coldwave/Noise/Metal artists from their roster to the film’s already intense soundtrack.

Giving a new twist to horror, the Afterparty Massacre, brings metal, blood and gore back to the screen with Cyanotic, Defcon, Everything Goes Cold, Left Spine Down and Torrent Vaccine helping to complete the soundscape for scenes throughout this blood soaked motion picture.

Written by Kristoff Bates (Horrormerch.com/Spookygirls.com) and Kyle Severn (Incantation/Acheron), Afterparty Massacre is one killer party with mind-blowing amounts of music, blood and flesh!

If you haven’t heard of Afterparty Massacre, here is a quick note to sum up some of the chaos that has taken place while filming from co-director Kristoff Bates.

“We had a party – cut off arms with a power saw, slit some throats, bashed a girls head in with a double ended dildo, cut off a leg, sledge hammered a vibrator through a girls head as her head then vibrated on the floor. Then we had another party – killed a stripper, cut off a leg, bashed someones head in with a hammer and drove around a bunch trying to get all of this together… it’s definitely been a long 4 months, even for independent movie shooting… and we still have more to go!”

Kristoff continues with details about the actual release date, “Summer 2010 was a bit too close for us to film, edit and press this movie. But we are currently working on a full spring 2011 tour with Incantation and we still have our distribution into Best Buy. So we are definitely going to take our time to make a movie and packaging that you will be able to pick up come spring! So keep on the look out for tour and release date info!“

Look for the Afterparty Massacre movie in Spring 2011!

FROM DEEP within the bowels of LOS ANGELES erupts a painful reminder that EVERYTHING GOES COLD STILL LIVES. As our enemies rise to taunt us with the droning terror that can only be described as the sound of children being swallowed whole by marmots at their local zoo as their helpless parents gaze on in drunken stupor, the Ice Brigade’s secret upper echelon has emerged once more to announce a new performance at Hollywood’s legendary BAR SINISTER.

There will be no free turtles on this day, nor any other. Not until you are truly deserving.

Chicago’s genre-fusing techno-metalists CYANOTIC have officially announced dates for their upcoming “2010 Detox Tour” with dark electro project UNTER NULL.

The North American dates will feature CYANOTIC (with members of RABBIT JUNK), UNTER NULL and special guests to be announced in markets across Northern America with aggressive scheduling in both Canadian and US territories. In addition, there are planned promotional efforts such as scheduled in-store appearances, DJ spots, and festival performances promoting the tour as a whole.

CYANOTIC and UNTER NULL seem to share a similar direction and fan base, but are just different enough to pull in audiences and fans of industrial, rock, and EBM. The live shows will be a frenetic assault of audio and video, with full live backing bands playing against an onslaught of violent imagery to compliment the equally intense performances.

Both bands are touring in support of their latest 2010 releases.
