07.01.09 Sean Payne of Cyanotic Talks about Precursor Tour

The relationship between Cyanotic and Rabbit Junk started in 2005 with Jp's contribution to Resurgence off the Cyanotic album Transhuman 2.0 . The Resurgence video can be viewed on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svkYyz_vxnw
Sean and JP have been talking about touring together for about 4 years and are looking very forward to finally getting a chance to tear up the stage together.
Sean Payne of Cyanotic further comments: "We've been fans of each other"s music for years and after getting to play a few shows together [namely @ the 2k7 Detroit Electronic Music Festival], it became clear to us that it was in all our best intentions to join up for a tour. So when one of our big influences [16volt] asked Cyanotic to come out on the road again [after sharing a lot of good times together playing on last year's Denial Highway tour], we decided this was the time to finally join up with Rabbit Junk, play each other's songs and spend a couple weeks partying together on the west coast."
You can hear more about the Precursor Tour from Eric Powell (16volt) and Sean Payne (Cyanotic) by listening to the Razor Blade Dance Floor Podcast, episode 102. http://web.me.com/jwgraham1970/RBDF/Podcast/Entries/2009/6/28_Razor_Blade_Dance_Floor_102.html
Together they discuss a wide range of topics from their upcoming tour, their respective album releases due later this summer, ego's, free music, Al Jourgensen, industrial music in general and some interesting insight in to the future of these two artists. Including the monumental release of 16volt's entire back catalog for FREE at http://16volt.com/downloads

05.14.09 Free Track #3 From Torrent Vaccine
The 3rd and final FREE Torrent Vaccine track is now available.
Digging a little further back, "Vis Crave" was written in 2001 and was part of Torrent Vaccine's First EP.
Download or listen to it at the Torrent Vaccine Myspace page http://myspace.com/torrentvaccine
This track will only be available for 2 weeks!!! Don't miss out...We may never release it again!!!
Here is the final clue for our big announcement:
05.14.09 Cyanotic Puts Finishing Touches On The Medication Generation Album
Cyanotic has been locked in the studio to finish recording their most anticipated album to date, The Medication Generation. Produced by Jason Prost (mindFluxFuneral/owner N.U.M. Studios) and Jamie Duffy (Acumen Nation/Dj Acucrack) the album shows definite evolution since Transhuman 2.0 in 2007. Even though a few of the tracks from this record have been in different stages of completion since early 2006.
Vocalist Sean comments: “We just spent last week busting our asses to finish up the entire guitar recording, editing and engineering. We've got demo vocals for all the tracks, just have to do final passes on everything, which should be all wrapped up in a single session. After that, final song mixdowns (since most of 'em are already pretty well along), then a week break to live with them, then a single session for polishes and additional engineering. So basically, three to four more sessions, it’s really close and I'm feeling the weight of 300 tons slowly being lifted off my chest.”
Cyanotic will be joining 16VOLT for 5 dates on the West coast early July to promote their upcoming album The Medication Generation.
The record is expected to be released in late Summer 2009.

01.26.09 [CYANOTIC] Cyanotic Featured In New Chronicles of Riddick Video Game Trailer
We were freaking out when we got news that "Insurgence” by Cyanotic had been featured in the “Desperation Trailer” for the new “Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena” game coming to XBox360, Playstation 3 and home PCs in March.
So we contacted, Dennis Lesica, the Music Researcher for Getty Images, and he had this to say about the advertisement, "Funny thing, I worked with the production company on that trailer for Riddick and didn't know they ended up using Cyanotic until I read your E-mail. I'm a fan and Sean's my homeboy, so this is like a personal Victory.”
It was also mentioned that you should keep your ears open for Cyanotic tracks in new episodes of HBO's "Real Sex", MTV's "Parental Control", specials for "Dead Space" and "Gears of War 2" on Sci-Fi Channel and the new commercial for HorrorMerch.com.
"We're excited to start 2009 with a bang." said Cyanotic Vocalist, Sean Payne. "All of this exposure couldn't have come at a better time for us."

01.23.09 [CYANOTIC] Stop Actin' Like You Don't Know.
As you MUST have already heard (hmm..simply scroll down if you haven't), “The Static Screen” from Cyanotic’s Prehab 25mg EP will be the soundtrack to Horrormerch.com's blood-soaked commercial featuring savage zombie girls wearing and tearing gear from some of your favorite horror films.
Horrormerch.com owner, Kristoff shared more details about this advertisement, “The commercial was mainly shot for web based advertising on horrormerch. com, and other assorted horror movie and music websites. However, after shooting more video we had found that this commercial, as long as it is approved due to its excessive use of blood and scantly clad girls, may find some air time during Headbangers Ball on MTV2 later this summer/fall.”
To celebrate this pairing, Horrormerch.com and Bit Riot Records are inviting everyone to download “The Static Screen” for FREE exclusively at http://www.horrormerch.com.
Horrormerch.com features over 250 horror tees and tons of collectibles from Saw, House of 1000 Corpses, Friday the 13th and many more! As a special thank you, Cyanotic and Bit Riot Fans are welcome to use promo code “BITRIOT” for 20% off at http://www.horrormerch.com during this promotion.

Even more knowing that Left Spine Down: Fighting For Voltage came in at #6!

Although not listed, we are proud to see that Torrent Vaccine: Tentative Response got a very deserved mentioned in the article.

The Torrent Vaccine Remix Contest winners have been chosen. We would like to thank all who entered, and throw in an extra thanks for you patience. It was a difficult judging process, not to mention a wet one with the tropical storms knocking us off course.
We will announce the winners and their prizes on Monday October 20th, 2008. The winning mixes will also be posted for all to hear at http://www.bitriotrecords.com/remix
So, keep those fingers crossed just a little longer.

10.16.08 No Work And All Play.
As many of you know there is an awesome monthly Sunday Night Showcase in Chicago hosted by our very own Dave of WTII Records. The night focuses on both local and national Electro, Industrial, Gothic, New Wave and trip-hop bands and is always a great way to hear new music, network and hang out with friends.
Sunday Nov 9th will prove to be even better. Why? Because mindFluxFuneral has been asked to come out of the studio and give us a sample of what they have been so secretively working on. See mindFluxFuneral like you have never seen them before and will never see them again. Stripped down to the bone, pure, raw, uninhibited industrial mayhem. One night only and exclusively for this installment of Dave's Sunday Night Showcase.
That’s pretty much why.
Not to mention its our first peek at AM.PSYCH and FRENCH HORN REBELLION.
